Improving 3D performance

3D rendering performance depend upon hardware configuration and some software settings. Large 3D scenes require both processing power and adequate graphical capabilities of the computer.

  1. Check Cortona3D Viewer renderer options:
    • In RapidManual (or RapidCatalog, or RapidLearning) go to Tools > Options > 3D View > Renderer and make sure that DirectX is selected. To improve your 3D viewing experience, enable Real-Time Anti-aliasing (requires powerful graphics card).
    •  In RapidManual (or RapidCatalog, or RapidLearning) go to Tools > Options > 3D View > Renderer > Advanced and enable Phong lighting model by ticking the box. This option transfers part of rendering to the graphical processing unit improving both speed and quality (requires powerful GPU).
