Representations, low level of details after import

Level of Details may cause geometry to be imported incorrectly. Whenever CAD data is being imported into the tool, it automatically creates 5 different Levels of Details called Representations.

If user's issue is the result of importing the CAD into RapidAuthor, then he should adjust Representations of geometry. To do so user should select geometry in the Item Tree. Then in the main menu go to Edit > Choose Representations by Name and select Medium or High. Click OK.

Depending upon the size and complexity of the geometry, selected level of details may significantly increase project weight. In order to reduce project weight, Representation can be adjusted for each individual part or sub–assembly. To do so, please follow the steps below:

• Open the project in RapidCatalog (or RapidManual)
• Select the geometry in the 3D Viewer to adjust level of details for
• Go to Edit
• Select Choose Representations by Name
• Try selecting different quality setting from the list provided, click OK
